Our Teacher

My name is Carl Atnip, and I am from San Antonio, Texas U.S.A. I graduated Robert E. Lee high-school in the summer of 1996. Soon after, I joined the U.S. Army for two years. After I went to enlist in a small community college where I completed my primary studies, while also focusing my attention on new media studies and software application design. Later I attended the University of the Incarnate Word where I got my B.A. Degree in Communication Arts with a concentration in journalism, and video production.

While in my last year of school I met my wife in the library and she told me all about Taiwan culture. My wife suggested that I should get my Master's degree in Education so that we can live together in Taiwan. I graduated with a M.Ed. degree in December 2010. Soon after I graduated I was enrolled in the teacher certification program for three months where I got an extensive twelve week internship at the Jewel C. Weitzel center in San Antonio. After I had passed all three teacher exams, I was awarded TEACHER CERTIFICATION by the state of Texas. Soon after receiving my teacher certification I had contacted Dewey International Consultants where I had found a place to teach English in Taiwan.
